What grades of Levapren® are available?
Levapren® is available in a range of versions which have different vinyl acetate (VA) contents and viscosity levels. LANXESS has the ideal grade of Levapren® whatever the application may be.
As the synthetic rubber pioneer LANXESS is able to offer this unique quality of service as a result of experience gathered through decades of close and successful cooperation with its partners throughout the rubber processing industry. The fact that all Levapren® grades can also be easily mixed together further expands the range of formulation options. LANXESS is continually working to expand its product portfolio.
The key characteristic of Levapren® rubber is clear from the names of the individual grades. The first two numbers of the product code indicate the vinyl acetate content in percentage by weight, while the third number represents the special characteristics. For example, Levapren® 450 is an EVM polymer with 45 percent VA which also has a particularly low level of viscosity.
Some products also undergo an additional process step which involves controlled pre-crosslinking.
The abbreviation "HV" after the number identifies higher-viscosity grades.
